hit the road - to depart; to begin one's journey, especially on a road trip. to leave for home - Viajar, Empezar un viaje.

Example:

Tomorrow's morning we have to hit the road to San Francisco. - Tenemos que viajar temprano mañana en la mañana para ir a San Francisco.

Hit the roof

Hit the roof - Dar/Pegar un grito en el cielo. To get very angry and fly into a rage.

Example:

My uncle Sam hit the roof when he saw the huge telephone bill. - Mi tío Sam dió/pegó un grito en el cielo cuando vio la enorme cuenta del recibo telefónico.

Bump into

Bump into - Encontrarse por casualidad (a alguien). Coloquialmente decimos Me topé con.

Example:

I was walking through the corridor and I bumped into Jim Carrey. - Estaba caminando por el corredor y me encontré (por casualidad) a Jim Carrey.

Estaba caminando por el corredor y me topé con Jim Carrey. (Colloquial)
