A good way to learn Spanish and be fluent is by singing. Go to youtube, look for a catchy song with lyrics and just right after you wake up sing the song 3 times, in that way you will have the song in your mind all over the day and then when you go back home or when you commute sing again at least 5 times a day. Do the same for a week. And repeat it the same process with another song. Do it over and over again and you'll see how you improve.

To turn a blind eye - Hacerse de la vista gorda.

To ignore something and pretend you don't see anything.

Example:

Un empleado destruyó una maquina y el supervisor se hizo de la vista gorda.

A employee destroyed a machine and the supervisor turned a blind eye.

Come up with

Come up with - Proponer (una idea) .

Think of a solution, excuse, etc.

Tom came up with the idea of opening a business. - Tom propuso la idea de abrir un negocio.
