En inglés se traduce como "A word is enough to be wise" , literalmente sería "Una palabra es suficiente para ser sabio". Aunque en español decimos "A buen entendedor, pocas palabras"

In English it's translated as "A word is enough to be wise", literally "una palabra es suficiente para ser sabio", although in Spanish we say "A buen entendedor, pocas palabras" 

Example:

My cousin despite of being disrespectful with her mom he asked his father if he could go out. So my uncle only told him "No". He needed to give any explanation cause his son knew he was disrespectful with her mom. A word is enough to be wise.

Mi primo a pesar de ser grosero con su mama le preguntó a su papá si podía salir. Así que mi tío le dijo "No". El no necesitaba darle mas explicación porque su hijo sabia que fué grosero con su mamá. A buen entendedor, pocas palabras.

Se usa mucho cuando alguién es rico y no perdona ni un centavo y quiere mas y más.  It's used when someone is rich and it's greedy. He always wants more and more money.

Policitians are a bottomless pit, despite of being rich already they want to steal more and more money - Los políticos son un barril sin fondo, a pesar de ya ser ricos ellos quieren robar más y más dinero.

O cuando alguién come mucho y no se llena. Or when someone eats too much and it's not satisfied.

My cousing is very fat, he seems like a bottomlesspit cause he is never satisfied. - Mi primo está muy gordo, el parece un barril sin fondo porque nunca se llena.

En español sería algo equivalente a no desperdiciar el tiempo tratando de convencer a alguien que ya está totalmente de acuerdo.

¿Sabes como ordenar una cerveza? - Do you know how to order a cold one (beer)?

Si vas a un bar y no sabes ni como pedir una cerveza aquí te diremos el vocabulario más usual.

Para alguien que no sea un experto chelero, cuando vas a un bar normalmente te preguntan si quieres cerveza oscura, clara, light, de barril, nacional e importada. Pero si eres un experto chelero esté vocabulario te va ayudar cuando vayas a un lugar en donde hayan expertos y te ofrezcan buenas cervezas.


For someone who is not a beer expert, when you go to a club normally you're asked if you want dark, lager, light, draft, domestic and imported beer. But if you are a beer expert this vocabulary will help you when you go to a place where there are more experts and offer you good types of beer.


Diálogo / Dialogue.


Mesero / Waiter : ¿Qué va a ordenar? -  Would you like to order?


Tu / You : Me da una cerveza por favor. - I would like a bottle of beer, please.


Mesero:  ¿De cual quiere? Tenemos nacionales, importadas, artesanales, de barril, oscuras, lagers y light. - Which one would you prefer? We have domestic, imported, hand made, draft beer, dark, lagers, y light. 


Tu: Me da una nacional oscura. - Can you bring me domestic dark beer.


Mesero: Tenemos XX (dos equis) lager oscura y bohemia. - We have XX dark lager and bohemia.


Tu: Me da una bohemia bien fría, por favor - I'd like a pretty cold bohemia, please.


Mesero: En un momento se la traigo. I'll be right back in a moment.


Tu: Gracias. - Thanks.



Types of beer - Tipos de cerveza


draft beer - cerveza de barril

dark beer - cerveza oscura
Ale - Tipo de cerveza fuerte y de color claro. 
Stout - cerveza oscura, a veces dulce y con fuerte sabor a malta. 
lager or pale ale - cerveza rubia, cerveza clara, cerveza lager. 
brown ale - cerveza negra. 
mild - cerveza suave. 
bitter - cerveza amarga.
special - cerveza fuerte y espesa.
shandy - cerveza con gaseosa.
root beer - cerveza de raíz
alcohol-free beer - cerveza sin alcohol.


draught of beer - barril de cerveza.
beer barrel - barril de cerveza.
beer keg - barril de cerveza.


beer can - lata de cerveza.
beer bottle - botella de cerveza.

tankard - jarra de cerveza.
pint /paint/ - una pinta de cerveza que equivale a 0.47 litros en USA y 0.57 litros en UK.
beer mug - tarro de cerveza.
beer glass - vaso de cerveza.

Cerveza in an informal way is "Chela" that it'd be like a Cold one.
We have a bottle of a litter that we call "Caguama" in Spanish.
At the bar you can also ask for "una cubeta de cerveza", that is a bucket with a lot of ice and 5 or 6 beer bottles, "una jarra de cerveza", that is a tankard, or "una yarda" a yard, it's beer served in a yard-long glass tube and it may have a valve at the bottom to serve in glasses.


Depósito de cerveza, (Depo is the shortest and informal way of saying Depósito) - It's a beer store, where you can buy beer at a lower cost.


bring me a cold one - Traéme una (cerveza/chela) bien fría.
shout somebody a beer UK slang (buy a beer for somebody at a bar)invitar a alguien a una cerveza.
One for the road - La última y nos vamos.

beer drinker - Chelero (informal) , bebedor de cerveza


beer belly - panza cervecera , panza chelera (informal)
beer mat - portavasos.

Normalmente cuando uses get out and get away tienes que usar las siguientes preposiciones.

get out + of - Salir de / quitarse de

get out + for - Salir a

get away  + from  - Escaparse

get away + with - Salirse con la suya 

Examples: 

get out of my way - sal de mi camino / quítate de mi camino.

let's go out for dinner - salgamos a cenar.

get away from a disaster - Escápate de un desastre.

He always gets away with it - El siempre se sale con la suya. (idiom)

This idiom is very useful and it means in Spanish "Lo que alguién desecha, para otro es un tesoro".

What one person considers something worthless, it is valuable for someone else. Lo que una persona considera algo que no sirve, para otra persona es de valor.

Example:

Jane's aunt is always going through people's garbage, looking for old boxes. One man's trash is another man's treasure. - La tía de Jane siempre está buscando cajas viejas en la basura. Lo que alguién desecha para otro es un tesoro.
