Reading a book
Well, another way to improve your language skills is by reading a book or e-book. Firstly you have to choose a topic which you are interested in, for example you can choose Statistics. Second, get a book about it and some package software to edit it if you get a pdf document. Finally read all the book loudly, outline and point out the words and sentences you don't know and write down the meaning and the pronunciation of the things you don't know.
Remember to schedule a specific time to do it everyday. Be consistent.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteReading really helped speed up my understanding of Spanish. I didn't have any books, so I just read from online newspapers like El Universal, El País and El Espectador. I began with just reading the headlines, but now I read whole articles with no trouble and I understand about 80% or more.
I don't think it's important that you read out loud (personally I prefer to read silently :-)), or look up every word you don't understand, or even that you read more than a few sentences at a time to begin with. Regardless, I think that anyone will see a huge improvement very quickly if they read at least a little every day.
Another great post! :-)
Besos,
Yvy
